In this class we finish reviewing Dr Albert Mohler’s brief discussion from Desire and Deceit of the book by Kirk and Madsen, After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90’s with further attention to the notion of ‘sexual orientation’ and related issues of natural disposition, and genetic predisposition, and whether these concepts form a sufficient foundation for determining the moral status of homosexuality.

In this class we continued reviewing Dr Albert Mohler’s brief discussion from Desire and Deceit of the book by Kirk and Madsen, After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90’s with special attention to how the Matthew Shepard case played a part in the agenda described there.

In this class we finished reviewing Dr Albert Mohler’s brief discussion from Desire and Deceit of Mead, Kinsey, and Foucault as modern academic thinkers who self-consciously moved the sexual revolution forward, in the case of the two former, through the pretense of scientific research that actually amounted to pseudo-science cooked up to support forgone conclusions. We then turned our attention to Dr Mohler’s overview of the book by Kirk and Madsen, After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90’s.

In this class we continue to highlight the self-conscious agenda of sexual liberation present amongst certain of the academic cultural revolutionaries of the 20th century.

In this class we continue our overview of the history of the spirit of revolution and we begin to highlight the self-conscious participation of those responsible for spreading that revolution in the sciences.
