Brainerd Hills Reformed Presbyterian Church is a member congregation of Westminster Presbytery, Reformed Presbyterian Church General Assembly (RPCGA).
The RPCGA is a continuing historic confessing church that has officially adopted the Westminster Confession of Faith of 1647 together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms as our subordinate standards. We further recognize the value of other Reformed creedal standards and their acceptable use among our churches in teaching the theology of the Reformation.
Our congregation seeks to worship God in Spirit and in Truth, with reverence and awe, doing only what He has instituted and approved in His Word.
‘Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.’ Deuteronomy 12:32
In this, we follow the gospel pattern of worship rooted in Scripture and expressed with clarity in the magisterial Reformation. Our worship would be described as historically Reformed and Presbyterian, but our aim is that it be pleasing to God according to the Scriptures: Word saturated, Christ centred, and Sacramentally faithful.
The worship of the church takes place in the special presence of Almighty God where He ministers grace that transforms us according to His saving purposes in Christ Jesus.
‘To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.’ Colossians 1:27–28
