We have assessed the calls for so-called ‘marriage equality’ and found that they are manipulative and misguided attempts to redefine marriage, moving that definition from its objective, natural, and conjugal definition which recognises God’s design, to a new revisionist and non-neutral definition that is subjective and based on emotions.
In this class we turn our attention to the demands on the part of those who wish to practise so-called same-sex marriage and through that relationship gain access to benefits that are currently associated with conjugal marriage. But granting such benefits to same-sex partnerships would be irrational at best and arbitrary at worst.
