In this class we continued reviewing Dr Albert Mohler’s brief discussion from Desire and Deceit of the book by Kirk and Madsen, After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90’s with special attention to how the Matthew Shepard case played a part in the agenda described there.

In this class we finished reviewing Dr Albert Mohler’s brief discussion from Desire and Deceit of Mead, Kinsey, and Foucault as modern academic thinkers who self-consciously moved the sexual revolution forward, in the case of the two former, through the pretense of scientific research that actually amounted to pseudo-science cooked up to support forgone conclusions. We then turned our attention to Dr Mohler’s overview of the book by Kirk and Madsen, After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90’s.
