Proctor Passages: May 2010

Dear praying brothers and sisters;

Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers for the ministry here in Uganda and for our family. We’ve hit a bit of a bump in the road, which we would appreciate your prayers for.

Meredith has been diagnosed with endometrial adenocarcinoma (meaning it’s malignant). We believe it has been caught in the very earliest stages, but won’t know for certain until after surgery.

We are, obviously, making very hurried plans over the next few days. Our thinking is that we will take an early six month furlough, beginning June 15th and seek medical treatment in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our itineration schedule will be fairly restricted, but we (or at least “I”) hope to be able to visit as many congregations as possible.

We covet your prayers for:

  • Thanksgiving that the disease has been diagnosed and appears to be in the earliest stages
  • Petition that we will be able to organize the work here in Mbale so that the disruption is minimal
  • Petition that we will be able to find housing and a vehicle for our time in the states
  • Petition that we will bring glory to Christ Jesus through our experience.

Yours in Christ,

Phil
